Meredith Goins.
Meredith Goins combines the fiddling traditions of her Tennessee home with the spirit and sophistication of classical, bluegrass, jazz, and swing music…
Her understated performances reflect a lifetime of professional work from symphony halls and The Grand Ole Opry to studios, churches, festival stages and just about every little listening room dedicated to live music. Whether it’s a new take on an old tune or echoes of Stéphane and Django in Paris, you’ll be glad you took a moment to let your heart fly along with her bow.
Play the Fiddle
Meredith Goins learned from some of the best. It’s a lifelong journey of exploration and learning she started at the age of three, expanded during college, and continues today.
That philosophy is reflected in how Meredith approaches teaching everything from Classical violin to Bluegrass fiddle. As one of the elite teachers certified in the Mark O’Connor Method™, she teaches a high level of theory and technique through easy-to-achieve steps based entirely in the practice of actually playing music.
Lutherie Services
As part of her lifelong passion for the fiddle and deep commitment to preserving the art and science of handcrafted fine instruments, Meredith committed to a traditional apprenticeship path of learning from master luthier Jim Humble.
Her work earned the 2020 South Arts Folk & Traditional Arts Master Fellowship and the Tennessee Arts Commission Traditional Arts Apprenticeship.
